About the Project

Ruang Sendu is a short film project that explores themes of emotional distance, unspoken feelings, and inner conflict within everyday human experiences. Through a contemplative narrative and intimate visual approach, the film invites the audience to reflect on moments of silence, loss, and self-confrontation that often go unnoticed.

In this project, I worked as the scriptwriter and offline editor. As a scriptwriter, I was responsible for developing the story concept, narrative structure, character dynamics, and dialogue to ensure emotional depth and narrative coherence. The script was designed to emphasize subtle emotions and visual storytelling, allowing silence and atmosphere to play an important role in conveying meaning.

During post-production, my role as an offline editor involved organizing footage, shaping the storytelling rhythm, and determining the pacing to support the film’s emotional tone. I focused on scene continuity, transition flow, and narrative clarity to ensure the story unfolds smoothly and remains engaging for the audience.

This project provided valuable experience in translating written narratives into visual form, as well as strengthening my skills in storytelling, editing structure, and emotional pacing within short film production.
